Amy and Brian who live on 25th and Thomas Avenue North asked that I notify neighbors of 2 garage break-ins over the last 2 to 3 weeks, the last occurring today. Their garage drive-way is shared with residents on Upton Avenue North.
Bikes were stolen during the first break-in with no damage to the garage. Today the thieves used the garbage container to climb and break one of the decorative windows on the garage door where the automatic door was released to allow entry. The car was searched and money was stolen.
They wanted people to know about these break-ins and to be careful and watchful.

i also had some kids break in to my garage and were in the process of taking two bikes when my fiance came home. they left in a hurry w/o the bikes. however, they did decide to smash a ceramic figurine of st. francis of assisi, and thought it would be nice to topple over the table in the backyard too. this happened about a week and a half ago. i’m on penn and 23rd.
