I met Brenda Wright (I’m pretty sure that is her last name) who has just opened the “Koffee Korner” right on Thomas and Broadway. It’s that teeny tiney little building across from True Vine Church. She has some sweet hearts and deco outside and she is selling not only coffee but wraps, sandwiches, soup, chili – all kinds of stuff, for very reasonable prices. It’s all take out at this point. The place is very small. Let’s support our local businesses! She’s open from 9 a.m.to 6 pm every day.
Brenda said that on the evening of the October 10th (when Jim and I are hosting the Introduction to the Landmark Forum at 6:30-9:30 at True Vine)She will stay open until 6:30 if people want to come in and grab a bite to eat and or to get coffee. If you buy a cup of coffee that evening she’ll give you a free donut to go with it!
We will have some juice and snacks at the event, but if you want caffeine, a donut or a light supper – stop by!
By the way, this is not a church or religious event. Jesse Griffin, the pastor at True Vine has been VERY GENEROUS and supportive of community in allowing neighbors to meet in the church.
Come one, come all. Bring your friends!
THERE WILL BE CHILDCARE! We have two awesome child care people to hang out nearby with your children.
